Welcome

Welcome to Adoption in America: Debunking Myths.

I am a researcher and writer who has, in the last year, realized that adoption in America is not what it is said to be. Adoption has changed, morphed, distorted from a practice to protect orphans and give them a home and permanence: adoption is seldom like this in 2007.

Adoption has become about providing children to those who can afford to pay the adoption lawyers and adoption industry.

Adoption should be about providing homes for children, not children to homes that can afford to pay for them.

I am currently gathering data to present here. Please feel free to comment and add links.

Yes, the National Adoption Council and other state councils such as the Florida adoption council control this industry. Children are literally snatached from mothers in distress and presented (for a fee) to people who can pay the adoption agencies and lawyers handsomely. All protections for the natural parents have been removed from the statues. The lobbists do their job in the legislature and congress and strip women and children of their constitutional rights. It is an egregious situation that has turned adoption into child trafficking. I have been greatly affected. I would be happy to collaborate on any legitimate research project. I will work hard to bring attention to the heinous nature of many US adoptions. I am familiar with activities in Florida which is known as the adoption mill state.

What do you need for your research? Are you researching for a publication? The courts protect these illegal adoptions and promote child trafficking. Are you focusing on a particular state or a particular case? What kind of information or help do you need to move your research along?

In Florida, look at Jeanner Tate, Patricia Strowbridge, and Michael Shorstein. Their agencies are: Heart of Adoptions, Chosen Child, and First Coast Adoptions. Their business practices are unethical and fraudulent. Children are hurt and those wanting to adopt are also hurt because they are not prepared for the later years when the child is angry that their parent was coerced. It is very ugly for everyone involved except for Tate, Strowbridge, and Shorstein who deposit a tidy sum in the bank every week. I bet they are no where to be found when these babies are no longer babies but angry teenagers. It is quite sad that so many people are damaged.
